LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James, he's widely regarded to be the greatest basketball player ever and is often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the best basketball player ever. James has won two Olympic golds and four NBA titles. James has the highest points during the playoffs, the second most career points and is seventh in ever assists. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, an all-time record. He was also selected for make the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. The third-highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten and eight of them were consecutive between 2011 and 2018. James was selected to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. James became the first NBA player to score 10,000 points, 10 rebounds and an assist in 2022. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a potential NBA superstar. In preparation for his professional career, it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the first pick overall during the NBA draft of 2003. He was named the NBA player of the year for 2004. Soon he became one of the premier athletes of the NBA and was awarded the NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James, who failed to take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 was released as a free agent and signed with his team the Miami Heat. This was made clear by the book The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions taken by a sports free-agent in time.
