Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a character on the well-known TV series 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time in college Christopher Meloni has always been attracted to the world of acting. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active in film and TV and on stage, his appearances on the small screen were what earned him popularity. He can play both characters from the side of police officers and different. This is what has made him so popular. He portrayed the role of a serial killer on his first television series project but later went on to portray the character as an NYPD detective. For his work on the small screen, he's won several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. Eyes that are piercing blue on his face are considered to be his most attractive aspect of his appearance. The eyes have been employed for portraying rough characters, as well as give them a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
