Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a character on the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started when he was in college. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on both television and films it is his characters in the smaller screen which earned him a cult fan following. The actor is able to play characters from both the good and bad side that are part of our legal system. He is able attract the attention of his audience with ease. He played the character of the serial killer on the first TV show he appeared in as well as later portrayed as an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he has received many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The piercing, blue eyes which have been said to make his look attractive. They've assisted in portray tough characters in a charming way. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured his face.
