Annette Funicello did not only sing or act, but was also an actor. She is best remembered as being one of Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. The singer began her singing career as a teenager and was known for the hit tracks "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess." She was born in Utica and with Italian immigrants, Annette was a shy teenager. In order to make an impression within the entertainment industry, she began to dance and act. As an "Mouseketeer" in Disney's sketches, Annette rose to great recognition in the 1950s. Annette was able to shed her Disney identity in her adult years and began acting in adult roles. Best known for being the actor who introduced the "beach-party" style of film. The actress was featured in such films like How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and 'Beach Parties.' In addition, she released her albums with music from time to time. Annette was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the year 1992. She died from this disease in the year 2013.
