Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English performer and song writer who goes by the stage name Jessie J. Her unique style of music that fuses soul vocals electronic pop, pop, and hip-hop has brought her not just fame but also recognition from a young age. In addition, she has won several awards and nominations, for instance, the 'Critics' Choice Brit Award' and 'BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her music career began at an early age of eleven after she got a role in 'Whistle Down the Wind,' a musical that was written by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. After that, she was a part of the National Youth Music Theater and performed in their 2002 production"The Late Sleepers". The album she released her debut "Who You Are" was made available in February, 2011. Her name became a household name that year. In the UK alone it sold 105,000 copies, whereas in the US it was sold at 34,000. It was also the top 2 on the UK Albums Chart,' and it was ranked at 11 on the 'US Billboard 200.'
